Our Treatments
Chiropractic Adjustment
The adjustment is THE MOST IMPORTANT TREATMENT that you will receive. The adjustment is where your chiropractor will locate areas of tension and resistance; deliver a specific, corrective force, and through that restore proper motion to your spine. This allows proper communication from your brain, down your spine, and out to your nerves allowing your body to heal and resist potential future injury through correct motion. At Tri-Lakes, we also realize the importance of other joints outside of the spine, and are able to correct restrictions in extremities as well.
Intersegmental Traction
(IST)
IST assists the adjustment and your healing by promoting further motion of your spine, helping your discs and joints recieve proper nutrition and movement. We use IST in two ways:
1. Flexion-Distraction Table: these advanced tables decompress the lumbar spine by flexing and extending your low back, taking pressure off of your lumbar discs.
2. "Roller" Beds: a long-time chiropractic favorite, these beds have a groove for you to lay your back on, as a bar travels underneath you. This helps facilitate proper spinal movement in a low-impact, non invasive way.
Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is incorporated to help address the muscular component of your spine and body. Allowing the breakup of adhesions and trigger points, manual therapy can help alleviate tension, soreness, and help train your body and muscles to hold itself in correct alignment.
EMS
Electrical muscle stimulation assists in pain reduction, muscle rehabilitation, and can assist with muscle cramps or spasms.
Therapeutic Exercise
Therapeutic exercises are the final component, aimed at getting you to facilitate long-term, lasting results. More of a life-style change than a therapy, these exercises are geared at getting you to strengthen weak areas around your spine, as well as recognize the overactive areas to achieve lasting balance and alignment.

Phases of Care

1st
Heal
Most patients start care with us due to an injury or chronic dysfunction. They're in pain. We understand this and act accordingly, addressing the area in need with intentional care to reduce pain and get them feeling normal again. Due to the nature of healing injuries and extended periods of tissue damage, you can expect to be seen more frequently.
2nd
Establish
Once you're out of pain, your body has established a new baseline. Your spine is now on a more stable foundation, and we are able to build to more lasting results. This phase of care can involve more participation on your end to establish new movement and postural patterns.
3rd
Excel
Wellness and maintenance. This phase of care is somewhat of a lifestyle change. You've established new movement patterns and are no longer feeling stuck and stiff in your own body. Varrying patient to patient, wellness care is aimed at keeping you at your best and facilitating life-long health.
